We are happy to report that the launch party was a staggering success. Despite two major freeways having been closed for the day, over 100 guests attended an evening that turned out to be truly memorable.

The highlights of the launch were the open discussion with the author, the hilarious contests where blindfolded volunteers were asked to provide their best rendition of Leborio Borzelini in play-dough, and the dramatic reenactment of a chapter in the book. The dynamic pace of the event took everyone by surprise and left us wanting more at the end.

As one member of the media present at the event remarked, "it was lovely to see so many good looking young people attend the launch of a novel". As far as book launches go, The Spanish Guru was an evening none of us will soon forget.

The Spanish Guru will be launched in Toronto, on May 15, 2010. The event will be held at the beautiful Hart House Theater (Music Room), between 4:30 pm and 8:00 pm.

Each guest will receive a copy of the book with the $10 entrance fee. To keep the evening exciting, the program will feature live music, humorous contests, and a brief discussion with C.R. Preston. Following the book-signing, refreshments and appetizers will be provided.

For those of you who are up for having drinks, there will be an after-party at the ... wait for it ... LOL Resto Lounge. What better venue to celebrate the launch of a humorous novel?
